Sustainability
Practical commitments, not slogans
We publish what we actually do in sourcing, packaging and logistics. Where a target is still a target, we say so rather than presenting it as an achievement.
Compliance
Certificates
The full register: management system certificates, trademark registrations, distributor and trade certificates, and the documents we issue with every consignment. Each certificate opens the original document; shipment papers are prepared per consignment and per destination market.
What is on this list
Every entry is backed by a document held by Bazaar International Trade or its group companies. A product standard held by a manufacturing partner rather than by us is sent on request instead of being listed here. Showing a document we cannot evidence would cost far more in an audit than it could ever win in a tender.

Supply Chain Transparency
Every product, traced from source to shipment
We track every product's journey from start to finish — from raw material sourcing and supplier selection to warehousing and final shipment. We choose our suppliers carefully and maintain our standards through regular audits.
- 01Raw Material SourcingOrigin, harvest window and specification are recorded before a product enters the programme.
- 02Supplier SelectionPartners are chosen on capacity, documentation and audit history, never on price alone.
- 03Production & ControlBatch and lot references are captured so any unit can be traced back to its production run.
- 04WarehousingFirst-expiry-first-out rotation across our two warehouses, with shelf life planned against transit time.
- 05Final ShipmentLoading, sealing and export documentation are handled in house, and the paper trail goes to the buyer.
Transparency isn't just a principle for us; it's a promise we keep to our customers and partners.
Kept honest by audit
Supplier standards are reviewed on a recurring schedule rather than at onboarding only. A partner who cannot evidence a claim does not stay in the programme.
Our Approach
Where trading actually affects the footprint
A trading company does not run the production lines, so our influence sits in three places: who we buy from, how goods are packed, and how efficiently they move. These are the commitments we hold ourselves to.
- 01
Responsible Sourcing
We work with a small, stable group of manufacturers over many years rather than switching supplier on price alone. Long relationships make working conditions and process quality visible.
- 02
Packaging Reduction
Case formats and pallet patterns are reviewed with our partners to cut void space and secondary packaging — fewer cartons per pallet position, less material per unit shipped.
- 03
Recyclable Materials
Corrugated cartons and moulded paper trays are our default transport packaging. Where a plastic component is required, we ask partners for mono-material alternatives.
- 04
Load Efficiency
Consolidating several brands into one container is a commercial service, but it is also the single biggest reduction we can make: fewer part loads, fewer sailings, less empty space at sea.
- 05
Reducing Food Waste
Production dates are planned against transit time so goods arrive with usable shelf life, and stock rotation in our warehouses follows strict first-expiry-first-out order.
- 06
Our People
Safe working conditions, equal opportunity in hiring and continued development for our warehouse, operations and export teams.

Environment & Recycling
In the warehouse and on the water
In our packaging processes we favour recyclable and environmentally responsible materials, and we offer sustainable packaging alternatives to our private label customers. In our logistics operations we aim to reduce our carbon footprint through consolidated shipments and route optimisation.
- 01
Recyclable Packaging Materials
Corrugated cartons and moulded paper trays are our default transport packaging. Where a plastic component is required, we ask partners for mono-material alternatives that can actually be recycled.
- 02
Private Label Packaging Options
Private label customers are offered sustainable packaging alternatives at specification stage: recycled board, mono-material film and reduced-ink print, costed openly against the conventional option.
- 03
Consolidated Shipments and Route Optimisation
Combining several brands into one container and optimising cube, weight distribution and routing is the single largest reduction available to a trading company: fewer part loads, fewer sailings, less empty space at sea.
- 04
Cardboard and Film Separation
Corrugated waste, stretch film and wooden pallet offcuts are separated at source in our warehouses and sent to licensed recyclers rather than to general waste.
- 05
Pallet Reuse
Serviceable pallets are repaired and returned to circulation. Export pallets are heat treated to ISPM 15 rather than chemically fumigated wherever the destination allows it.
- 06
Stock Rotation and Consumer Information
First-expiry-first-out picking reduces stock written off before it reaches a shelf, and we ask partners to carry recycling marks and material identification on retail packaging so the end consumer can sort it correctly.
We publish practices, not projections. Measured figures will be added to this page as they are independently verified.
Social Responsibility
The people the trade runs on
We provide a safe, fair and development-oriented working environment for our 150+ employees. We continue to contribute to local employment and build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with the manufacturers we work with.
- A safe and fair workplaceSafe working conditions, equal opportunity in hiring and continued development for our warehouse, operations and export teams.
- Local employmentWe keep hiring from the communities around our two warehouses, and we treat that contribution as part of the business, not as charity.
- Long-term partnershipsRelationships with our manufacturers are built to last years, so both sides can plan capacity, invest in quality and improve together.
- Room to growExport documentation, quality and logistics are trades that are learned on the job. We train inside the company rather than buying every skill in.
Annual Report & Targets
An annual summary, published once the numbers stand up
To share our sustainability journey transparently, we aim to publish an annual sustainability summary in the period ahead.
What the summary will report
- Packaging material mix and the reduction actually achieved
- Container utilisation and the share of consolidated shipments
- Waste separated at source and sent to licensed recyclers
- Employment, training hours and workplace safety record
Until then we publish practices rather than projections. Anything on this page that is still a target is labelled as one, and measured figures will be added only once they are independently verified.
